Beyerdynamic DT 700 PRO X : Design

Beyerdynamic DT 700 PRO X

In terms of design, the Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X comes with a closed back design. That way, you don’t have to worry about any leakage of sound from the DT 700 Pro X. Due to this design, it can be used for monitoring and hearing voice during sound recording.

New Stellar.45 drive unit,

One of the most promising features of these headphones is its new Stellar.45 drive unit. Which is developed and manufactured in Heilbronn, Germany. It is designed and manufactured indoors and uses a layered peak polymer diaphragm. With sandwiched wetting material and a neodymium motor system in between.

In addition, the purpose is to deliver detailed sound with easy loading. Which will allow the headphones to run through laptops and smartphones without any problems. We hooked up the headphones to the MacBook Pro & AudioQuest Cobalt USB headphones amp / DAC. The headphones didn’t struggle at all.

As you can see, these headphones do not offer any targeting feature. But its functionality is far better than other headphones. The earcup and headband look reassuringly strong and solid. While the headphone cable is securely locked using the Mini XLR connector. The overall impression you get is that this is a pair of headphones that will give you plenty of space over the years.

The long-term appeal of Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X headphones is also aided by the Velour covered earpads. Not only are they detachable and easily replaceable, they also provide complete enjoyment of listening for a long time. Combined with general ergonomics, balanced weight distribution, and generous padding on the headband. There’s no reason you can’t wrap it up for a few hours. Even after listening for six or seven hours, you’ll feel as satisfied as an hour.

The headphone cable attached to the left earcup is flexible and there is hardly any sound coming around it. Which is always positive. You are provided with 1.8m and 3m headphone cables (both with 3.5mm jack) and a 6.3mm adapter. The DT 700 Pro X also has a pouch for added protection when you carry it around.

Thanks to our new high-performance STELLAR.45 driver, PRO X headphones with a 48 ohm barrier reproduce sound and power at familiar levels of Studio quality – all playback devices turned on. Beyerdynamic DT 700 PRO X : Sound

Studio-Headphones-Class delivers proven biardynamic sound at previously unattainable levels of performance. These are up to neodymium ring magnets as well as copper-clad high-tech wires. The trade-off between electrical conductivity and wire weight is unique. Featuring a damping layer integrated with the newly developed three-layer speaker diaphragm. This makes for a highly efficient driver system that performs superbly on all playback devices.

Furthermore, the innovative membrane structure controls the axial motion of the voice coil. And ensures that it stays securely located in the magnet gap even during high oscillations. Another advantage is the wide and natural frequency response. The rapid response of the transducer and the detailed transient response produced by the low coil weight. Which always make a reliable and distortion-free sound even at high sound pressure levels.

Play the Imperial March from The Empire Strikes Back OST and the track sounds regimental and organized. As if a battalion of Imperial Stromtroopers is marching for Lord Vader. You can follow and enjoy all the different elements and orchestral sections. Or you can sit back and enjoy the whole arrangement.

True, it’s not the most compelling presentation we’ve ever heard. But honesty in implementation is second to none at this price point. Headphones still communicate the dynamic shift of percussion, strings, and wind instruments extremely effectively.

The low frequency is subtle and balanced. Bass weights are not a headline here. Although they can deploy a sufficient amount of over-ear when needed. They prefer to master in careful control and subtlety.

Listening to Royal Blood’s Limbo,

The headphones delight like an exciting disco-testic chorus in the rock sections. The electric guitar action and drums come thick and fast before the headphones go up the gear for the excited, uptempo chorus. And the Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X is always in control. The subtle injection of strings near the climax of the song is also woven into the track with surgical precision. They provide an excellent level of analysis without sterilizing the music and without losing emotion.
