Alexa Echo : How to set reminders, alarms, timer and list with it

Alexa Echo

The Alexa Echo Device helps you with your daily work and appointments and meetings. Plus, with Alexa your service, you can set an alarm to wake up early in the morning, or alert you when a call or any message arrives. It can help you do things you can’t even imagine. In addition, you can add items to a to-do list or shopping list. Alexa will help you through any eco device, many third-party Alexa gadgets and the Alexa app.

Here’s how you set your everything with Alexa.

Set Up Alexa Reminders

Well, I don’t know about you but everyone needs short-term alarms to help remember certain activities or events. When the reminder arrives at the appointed time, Alexa shouts “This is your reminder” and then she tells you twice.

One disadvantage is that the reminder only closes on the Echo device on which you set it. Thus, if you have more than one Echo device, be sure to set a reminder on the device you use frequently. As a backup, Reminder also appears on your mobile device via the Alexa app.

To set one, say “Alexa, create a new reminder”. Alexa Echo will ask you what the reminder is for. Tell Alexa what it is, such as “time for school or college,” “for jogging” or “go to somewhere.” After that, Alexa asks you the date and time. You could say something like “Today at 5pm,” “Tomorrow at 1pm,” or “July 10 at 8am.” To chase, provide all the details of the reminder in a single word. Such as: “Alexa, remind me to go to school at 12:00 this afternoon”.

Set Up Alexa Alarms

Alexa Echo

You can use Alexa Echo as a replacement for the traditional alarm clock by saying “Alexa, set alarm”. Alexa asks you the day and time and sets the alarm after you provide the details. You can also contain information in one shot. Say “Alexa, set the alarm for 8 o’clock this morning” or “Alexa, set the alarm for 8 o’clock tomorrow morning.” Additionally, ask for a recurring alarm to sound every day, certain days of the week or every weekend. (“Alexa, set a recurring alarm every Monday at 7am.”)

Set Up Alexa Timers

Alexa Echo

Don’t use the smartphone or cloak as timer anymore. Use the timer functionality named Alexa to juggle multiple timers at once. (“Alexa, set the Maggie for 2 minutes” if you making a Maggie or “Alexa, set the laundry timer for 10 minutes,” for example.)

Furthermore, your timer appears in the Timer section of the Alexa app. Where you can pause or cancel each one and change its volume. You ask “Alexa, what is my timer?”. It will give you the name of your current timer and the countdown. Delete timer? Ask Alexa to cancel or pause a specific timer or cancel them all in one command.

When you set the timer on your Echo device. Alexa Echo will sound and tell you that the countdown is zero. Say “Alexa, turn off the timer” or just say “Alexa, stop” to turn it off.

Set Up Alexa To-Do Lists

You can use your Echo device to create shopping lists or to-do lists that can help you juggle all the tasks in your life. Prepare these lists by voice saying something like “Alexa, add Butter to my shopping list” or “Alexa, take the plumber to my to-do list”.

To set a list from the Alexa app, tap the More icon and select Lists and Notes. On the next display, tap the shopping or to-do list to add items to any list. Otherwise, tap the Create List button to create a whole new list. Once the list is created, ask “Alexa, what’s on my shopping list” or “Alexa, what’s on my to-do list” and Alexa deletes items from either list.

Or check your listing in the Alexa app. Go back to the Lists and Notes screen in the app and open the list you want to view or edit. Check the item to mark it as complete. Swipe it to the left to delete it.

Need more options to maintain a to-do list? Tap into third-party to-do services like Any.do or Todoist, which is more powerful than Alexa’s built-in to-do skills. From the Alexa app, tap on the More icon and then select Skills and Games.

Search by tapping the search icon in the upper right corner. Type word lists in the field for a keyword or skill name. From search results, tap Listing Skills or Just Listing. You can now browse a range of skills related to creating lists and lists.

With items like AnyList, Cozi Lis, or Picniic, you must enable skills in the Alexa app. You will then need to create an account or sign in for that service in order to use the skills. With skills like Any.do and Todoist, you are asked to leave the Alexa app and set up access to a third-party app.

After you set up an account with any third-party listing services, you can ask Alexa to add an item to your shopping list or to-do list, and Alexa Echo will use that service.
