Sennheiser designed the SPORT to handle any level of performance. The earbud come with a lightweight and most comfortable design. The shape and size of both the case and ear buds looks similar to the Sennheiser CX Plus and Sennheiser CX. The ergonomic shape earbuds built with a smooth glossy surface instead of matt finish. The earbuds also are little bulky and secure. Moreover, the Sennheiser SPORT TW earbuds offer the four pair of silicone ear tips: extra small, small, medium and large one. You just need to select the one who fits perfectly in your ear to create a passive isolation.
Along with the silicone ear tips, the earbud is also customized with four different sized ear fins such as N, S1, S2, S3. You can choose the one with your choice. The Sennheiser Smart Control is well-configured and easy to connect once your earbuds are connected to your mobile device (it’s available on both Android and iOS). Just like the CX, the Smart Control lets you re-map the controls powered by tap on the SPORT TW — the volume is still locked for tapping and holding on the right or left bud. You can also adjust your earbuds EQ, either with a three-band equalizer or a more dynamic visualizer interface where you can increase or decrease the frequency line – you can save different presets for later swaps.
Additionally, the app lets you adjust the level of sidetone, so you can hear how you sound on phone calls and set whether you want to enable virtual assistants to hear your voice prompts. What is the sound quality of Sennheiser SPORT TW?
The Sound Stage on SPORT is excellent for athletic use. It is very much in the middle of the pack and still presents the stereo area well without interfering with the performance. It provides a nice sound and image that is clear enough to be heard even during challenging physical activity but does not become distracting or misleading where it can be distracting and potentially dangerous depending on the use. Mobility is pushed forward to make sure you can still hear everything during your workout.
In addition, Sennheiser’s TrueResponse transducer is the smallest in the world in its range. It has a high-performance dynamic driver with a diaphragm only 7 mm in diameter to cover the entire frequency spectrum. Custom-made magnet systems with triple-channel ventilation significantly reduce the distortion factor. Even at high sound pressure levels, the sound remains clean and distortion free.
Furthermore, the earbuds also offer a 110dB sound pressure level and High frequency response. Means, it will deliver very loud, balance and efficient sound signature. The dynamic closed back design also provides a clear and balanced sound for longer hours. However, the earbud does not come with an Active Noise Cancellation feature to reduce the background noise effectively during voice calls or gaming. Nevertheless, it has a good passive isolation with a secure tight seal between the ear tips and your ear.
How good is Sennheiser SPORT TW for calls?
Yes. The Sennheiser SPORT TW come with a total 2 beamforming mic on each earbud. Which effectively help you to listen crystal clear and smooth balance sound during longer voice calls. Also, as we say earlier, it has a good passive isolation with a secure tight seal between the ear tips and your ear. Means, it will reduce the background noise effectively to create clear sound during voice calls.

How good is the connectivity option?
The Sennheiser SPORT TW come with a latest Bluetooth 5.2 firmware to connect your device smoothly. which is really nice to see, given that 5.2 is the cut-off for the new incoming lower latency aptx audio codec.
Furthermore, the SPORT TW supports the default SBC codec, as well as AAC and aptX Bluetooth audio codec. This means there’s a high-quality option for you regardless of whether you’re an Android or Apple user. There’s no support for Google Fast Pair, or any other kind of feature streamlining Bluetooth connections. Whether you favour iOS or Android, you’ll still need to tap and hold both earbuds for three seconds to initiate pairing mode. However, there is no Bluetooth multiple connectivity option. Which means you can’t connect two devices at the same time simultaneously.

How long does the battery last?
Sennheiser claims that SPORT TW almost offers. 1.5 hours for full charge, 10 minutes after charging 1 hour music play time. However, our tests show that the battery life is shorter than that. The earbud has a playback time of 9 hours and the charging case offers a playback time of 27 hours with a single charge. Which means you get a total of 36 hours of playback time with this earbud. Also, you will get 55mAh battery with earbuds and 400mAh battery capacity with charging case.
The Sport TWS from Senheisser performs well in many areas, such as the audio quality, microphone quality, support for aptX codec, app customizability, and battery life.
However, there are some weak points too like the earbud’s large size, lack of spatial audio technologies, and wireless charging.
Coming to the price, the Sennheiser CX Plus has launched at $142.80, which is quite good for earbuds that offer these features. However, the competition is fierce in this segment, and more notably, they are cheaper too. It is available Amazon, and other leading electronic outlets
